Youth+Music

The Robert Bouffler Music Trust and the United Reformed Church Oxted presented an evening of music performed by local young musicians on Thursday 15th February 2018, at the United Reformed Church, Bluehouse Lane, Oxted.  The church has recently taken delivery of a new piano, and the Trustees were delighted to have been asked to participate in a concert to celebrate the arrival of the new piano.

The performers were a mixture of local musicians, along with young musicians associated with the Robert Bouffler Music Trust.  The quality of the playing was of a very high standard and was much appreciated by the audience.  Apart from displaying the delights of the new piano, the audience were treated to performances on harp, violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, oboe, trumpet, organ as well as pieces for voice.

The Trust benefitted from donations made by the audience, and the Trustees are most grateful to Chris Bruce-Jones, who organised the evening with the Trust’s Musical Adviser, Michael Barlow.  Grateful thanks also due to Bonners Music for their sponsorship.

A most successful evening, and a fitting inauguration of the new piano.
